Access the SmarterMail 16 web interface and log in using your email account credentials (not the domain admin account).
Go to:
Settings → Autoresponder
Subject: Enter the subject line for the autoresponse.
Message: In the message body field, type your response (e.g., “Thank you for your email. I’m currently out of the office…”).
Configure the following optional settings:
✅ Enable/Disable Autoresponder
Toggle to activate or deactivate the autoresponder.
📩 Disable Autoresponder to Indirect Mail
Prevents replies to mailing lists or forwarded emails.
🔁 Limit Response to Once Daily
Ensures the autoresponder only replies once per sender every 24 hours.
📅 Only Send Between Certain Dates
Set a start and end date for when the autoresponder should be active.
After configuring all necessary fields and options, click the Save button to activate your autoresponder.
Subject: Out of Office
Message: Thank you for your email. I am currently out of the office and will return on [Date]. For urgent matters, please contact [Alternate Contact].
