SmarterMail allows individual users to customize spam filtering settings for their email account, overriding the domain’s default spam rules. This can help you fine-tune how spam is handled based on your personal preferences.
Follow these steps to set up custom spam filtering actions for your email account:
Open your browser and log in to SmarterMail using your email account credentials (not the domain administrator account).
Once logged in, go to:
Settings → Spam Filtering
On the right-hand side of the Spam Filtering page, select the option:
“Override filter weights and actions for this domain”
This enables you to set custom spam filtering actions for your individual account.
You will now see options for adjusting actions based on the probability level of incoming spam:
Low Probability of Being Spam
Medium Probability of Being Spam
High Probability of Being Spam
Click on each option to choose your desired action.
For each probability level, you can select one of the following actions:
No Action – Delivers email to your inbox without changes
Delete Message – Permanently deletes suspected spam
Move to Junk Email Folder – Sends suspected spam to your junk folder
Add Text to Subject – Flags the email subject with a custom label
Once you’ve made your selections, click Save to apply the custom spam filtering settings to your email account.
