The Auto-Clean feature in SmarterMail 16 helps manage mailbox storage by automatically deleting older or larger emails from specific folders like Deleted Items, Junk Email, or Sent Items. This helps users stay within their storage limits and keeps their inbox organized.
Log in to the SmarterMail 16 web interface using your email account credentials.
Go to:
Settings → Folder Auto-Clean
Check the option for "Override Auto-Clean Settings" to customize your own rules.
Click on "New Rule" to create a rule for cleaning specific folders.
Select the folder you want the rule to apply to:
Deleted Items
Junk Email
Sent Items
Choose one of the following options:
By Size: Set a size threshold (e.g., clean the folder once it reaches 10MB, reduce to 5MB).
By Age: Set an age limit (e.g., delete emails older than 30 days).
After entering your cleanup criteria, click Save to apply the rule.
Automatically manages email storage.
Prevents unnecessary buildup in common folders.
Helps avoid exceeding mailbox quotas.
