If you are using Softsys Hosting email services, you can easily configure your email in Microsoft Outlook by following the steps below.
Open Outlook
From the menu, go to Tools > Account Settings.
Add a New Account
Under the E-mail tab, click New.
Choose Manual Setup
Select “Manually configure server settings or additional server types” and click Next.
Select Email Type
Choose Internet E-mail and click Next.
Enter User Information
Your Name: Enter the display name you want recipients to see.
Email Address: Enter your full email address (e.g., user@yourdomain.com
).
Account Type: Choose POP3.
Incoming Mail Server (POP3): mail.yourdomain.com
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): mail.yourdomain.com
Username: Enter your full email address.
Password: Enter your email password. (Check “Remember Password” if you want Outlook to save it.)
Open More Settings
Click More Settings in the lower-right corner.
Configure Outgoing Server Authentication
Go to the Outgoing Server tab.
Check “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication”.
Select “Use same settings as my incoming mail server”.
Set Advanced Port Numbers
Go to the Advanced tab.
Incoming Server (POP3): Port 110 (use 995 for SSL).
Outgoing Server (SMTP): Port 25 (use 465 or 587 for SSL).
Save Settings
Click OK → Next → Finish.
Your POP3 email account should now be configured in Outlook. You can send and receive emails using your Softsys Hosting email service.
💡 Tip: We recommend using SSL/TLS ports (995 for POP3 and 465/587 for SMTP) for better security.
