IMAP Email Account Configuration in MS Outlook 2007/2010/2016/2019

Please follow the steps below to configure IMAP email accounts in Outlook.
1. Use the '
Tools' menu to open the '
Account Settings' panel.
2. Click the
New button under the E-mail tab.
3. Now select the '
Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP or HTTP' option and hit 'Next'.
4. Select the checkbox '
Manually Configure Server Settings”. Everything else on that page should turn gray. Hit the 'Next' button again.
5. Now select '
Internet E-mail'
6. Add in all your personal information here >> Choose the IMAP option in 'Account Type'.
-> Your Name: Enter the name you wish recipients to see when they receive your email.
-> Email Address: Enter your email address (
user@yourdomain.com)
-> Account Type:
IMAP
-> Incoming Mail:
"mail.yourdomain.com"
-> SMTP mail:
"mail.yourdomain.com"
-> Username: Enter your full email address.
-> Password: If you wish for Outlook to save your password, check the box labeled 'Remember Password' and enter your password in the text field.
7. Click on the '
More Settings' button in the lower right corner.
8. Click on the '
Outgoing Server' tab, and check the box labeled '
My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication'. Then select '
Use same settings as my incoming mail server"'
8. Now choose the '
Advanced' tab, and enter the following values:
-> Incoming Server: 143
-> Outgoing Server: 25 or 587
9. Click OK.
10. Click Next -> Finish.

Please make sure that Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server name include either the IP address or "mail.domain.com"
IMAP Port: 143
SMTP Port: 25 or 587
