Yes, as a SmarterMail administrator, you can monitor and access user mailboxes using the Impersonate feature.
The Impersonate feature allows a system administrator to securely log in to any user’s email account without needing their password. This is particularly useful for:
Troubleshooting email delivery issues
Changing account settings
Reviewing mailbox configurations
Diagnosing login or syncing problems
Log in to the SmarterMail admin interface.
Navigate to the Domains or Users section.
Select the domain and user you wish to impersonate.
Click the Impersonate option (usually found under user actions).
You will be instantly logged into the user's mailbox as if you were them.
🛡️ Note: Only admin-level users have access to the Impersonate feature. Regular domain administrators and users cannot use this functionality.
