To enhance the security of your SmarterMail installation, you can restrict administrator access to only allow logins from specific IP addresses or IP ranges. This helps prevent unauthorized access and secures your email server environment.

1. Log in to SmarterMail as a Domain Administrator

Access the SmarterMail 16 dashboard and log in using your domain administrator credentials.

2. Go to Administrator Settings

In the left-hand menu:

• Click on Settings

• Then select Administrators under the System section.

3. Edit the Administrator Account

Click on the administrator username that you want to restrict access for.

4. Enable IP Restriction

• Check the box for Restrict login access by IP.

• Once enabled, click on the + New Rule option.
