How to Use WinMTR to Submit Network Diagnostics (Windows)

🔧 What is WinMTR?

WinMTR is a free network diagnostic tool that combines the functionality of ping and traceroute. It helps identify packet loss and pinpoint where latency is occurring along the network path between your computer and our servers.

📥 Step 1: Download WinMTR

1. Visit the official WinMTR download page:

2. Download the .zip file that matches your system (32-bit or 64-bit).

3. Extract the contents of the ZIP file to a folder on your computer (e.g., Desktop or Downloads).

⚙️ Step 2: Run WinMTR

1. Open the extracted folder and double-click WinMTR.exe to launch it. (No installation required)

2. In the "Host" field, enter the IP address or domain of your Softsys Hosting service. For example:
   yourdomain.com or the server IP provided in your welcome email.

3. Click Start to begin the test.

Let it run for about 2–3 minutes to gather accurate data.

💾 Step 3: Save the Results

1. After a few minutes, click Stop.

2. Click Export TEXT to save the test results as a .txt file.

Name the file something descriptive, such as:
WinMTR_YourDomain_Date.txt

📧 Step 4: Submit the Report to Support

Please attach the .txt file to your support ticket with a brief description of the issue, including:

• Time and date when the issue occurred

• Type of service affected (e.g., VPS, shared hosting, dedicated server)

• Any other relevant details
